History & Timeline
Garden High School Sonarpur is a unit of Satikanta Guha Foundation. The Foundation has established and now runs two other educational institutions: Garden High School (Kolkata) and Garden High School IISER Kolkata Campus (Mohanpur, near Kalyani). Garden High School (Kolkata) is affiliated to the CISCE, New Delhi, and its pupils sit for the ICSE (Class X) and ISC (Class XII) Examinations. Garden High School IISER Kolkata Campus is affiliated to the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education), New Delhi, up to the Senior Secondary Level (Class XII).
Satikanta Guha Foundation was established in September 1991 in memory of Satikanta Guha who expired in January that year. Since its inception, the Foundation has, apart from running schools, been rendering substantial financial assistance to various centers of learning, educational institutions, and the needy and meritorious students.
